  • From Denver International Airport - Fastest Route (174.5 miles, 3 hours 15 min):
    Use the MapsOnUs map and the given descriptions for the fastest route to Steamboat. Follow Pena Blvd (~11 miles) from the airport and merge onto I-70 W. Then follow I-70 W (~78 miles) to exit for HWY 9 toward Kremmling. Follow HWY 9 (~35 miles) and merge west onto US 40 W. Follow US 40 W (~46 miles) to Steamboat and turn right onto Mount Werner Road. The Steamboat Grand is on the top of the hill.
  • From Denver International Airport - Scenic Route (168.1 miles, 3 hours 20 min):
    Use the MapsOnUs link for a map and description of this scenic route to Steamboat that takes you through Winter Park (a local ski area) and Hot Sulphur Springs. Be sure to exit onto US 40 W after Idaho Springs.
  • From the South East:
    157 miles Northwest of Denver; an easy 3 hour drive; head west on I-70 through Eisenhower Tunnel to the Silverthorn exit #205 (67 miles), then N on CO Hwy 9 to Kremmling (37 miles), then W on US 40 (53 miles). Basically similar to the 'Fastest Route' above.
  • From the North East:
    161 miles west of Fort Collins, take Rt 14 to Rt 40 W into Steamboat Springs.
  • From the West:
    200 miles from Grand Jct., take I-70 E to 13 N which will connect with 40 E into Steamboat Springs -OR- I-70 E to Hwy 131 N to Hwy 40 W into Steamboat Springs.
