Skymap is one of the MAPSGAP tools and is the primary tool for observation design for fields and particles instruments.  Skymap presents a cylindrical projection of the sky as seen from Cassini.  Planets and their satellites are drawn.  Skymap will display any observations that have been designed and displayed using the Target tool, and vice versa.  This is useful for seeing the footprints of instruments with different boresights.  Target only displays a limited portion of the sky.  Skymap can also be used to find geometric opportunities of interest, such as stellar occultation opportunities, by using its animation feature.
