GGS

Welcome to the Geometry and Graphics Software demo.

[galprobe] [voyager]

[cassini]

GGS is a multimission tool to help planetary scientists visualize the geometric conditions under which their data were obtained. It allows the user to access spacecraft geometry information, formatted in the NAIF SPICE kernel and Toolkit system, to display previously taken data. GGS can also be used to investigate and design future spacecraft/body opportunities and observations.

Animations:

Watch the Io Torus from Galileo.

Watch a Cassini Occultation.

GGGS (the Galileo version) is available via telnet on a guest account to bper.colorado.edu, numeric address 128.138.137.24. You must enter gll_guest as the user name. Only one guest user is allowed on the system at a given time. You will be notified if the guest account is already active.

If you telnet:

GGS is being developed at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
