The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) is a world-renowned space science research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder. CU receives more NASA funding than any public university in the country, due in large part to LASP programs. LASP has an opening for Professional Research Assistant to further its science mission by providing coordination and support to individual projects and across a number of projects. S/he will coordinate and facilitate science and engineering program research efforts with other LASP groups, Co-Investigators in other CU departments, with external scientists, researchers, and subcontractors to manage and support on-going multi-year federally funded sponsored project activity. This position also interfaces with the general public and may supervise student employee staff.

Requirements:

• BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point
• Demonstrated excellence in managing project work preferably in a research institute or academic setting
• Ability to handle complex, multiple and concurrent incoming work tasks/requests
• Must possess effective problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
