Seminar Abstract:

The USGS Geomagnetism Program operates magnetic observatories across the United States, providing high quality, near real-time magnetic field measurements. These data support operational tasks, and are used as near real-time drivers to space weather models and indices. This presentation will discuss how frequency-domain techniques can be used in real-time to separate signals of interest, and are used to produce real-time disturbance indices, including Dst, K, AE indices and electric field estimates.
