SORCE Solar Spectral Irradiance
The SORCE spacecraft has
been measuring solar spectral irradiance (SSI, W/m^2/nm) since shortly
after the SORCE launch in early 2003. This data set includes daily
averaged SSI measurements from three instruments:
- Spectral Irradiance Monitor (SIM): 310-2400 nm
- SOLar STellar Irradiance Comparison Experiment (SOLSTICE): 115-310 nm
- XUV Photometer System (XPS): 0.1-40 nm
Please note that the SORCE data from 310-2400nm are temporarily unavailable
starting on September 26, 2010 while the SORCE team investigates processing
algorithm updates to accommodate an operational change that was made onboard
the SORCE observatory. Interested users can check the
SORCE Newsletter
for additional information.
