Orbit Planning
- Mariner 9 science planning is documanted here from the Mariner 9 imaging team catalog, JPL Technical Memorandum 33-585, Volumes I and II. Scanned copies were made from this publication and are presented here as a helpful way to locate the desired science data sets. Two samples of the detailed information available for each orbit, from this document, are a_sample_-_p1.JPG and a_sample_-_p2.JPG. Several notation keys are given as the orbit planning progressed through the mission. The initial key for early orbits is Chart_key.JPG, for orbits beginning at orbit 24 use Rev024to62_key.JPG and for very late orbits (416) see Chart_key_Rev416.JPG.
