Bob Weigel--On August 1, Bob Weigel and Michael Gehmeyr traveled to Colorado Springs to present a one-day short course on space weather. The course is part of the CU/LASP Knowledge Transfer program, which is a branch of the Center for Integrated Space Weather Modeling out of Boston University. The course covered recent activities in Space Weather modeling by CISM scientists and several computer exercises that involve the analysis of space weather-relevant measurement and model data. The goal of the course is to provide military leadership with information on CISM’s space physics science models that may have forecasting applications. This course will also be presented in the Fall at the Air Force Weather Agency in Omaha, Nebraska. |
