Below is the procedure for creating data CDs: - Create data folders in D:/Galileo_File - Place Cd in CD Creator drive - From Start Tab, open ADAPTEC EASY CD CREATOR, then open EASY CD CREATOR DELUXE - Cancel Adaptec Easy CD Creator Wizard - Choose DATA CD LAYOUT - Open FILE, CD LAYOUT PROPERTIES, DATA SETTINGS Tab - File system must be ISO9660 - Choose file order: usually PRESERVE NORMAL FILE ORDERING - Choose AUTOMATICALLY IMPORT PREVIOUS SESSION (This is necessary when writing more data to a CD that has already been written on) - Click PROPERTIES - Volume label: Title of CD - Publisher name: LASP - Prepared by: Your name - Choose file data: usually USE ORIGINAL FILE DATE - Choose file name (if you want 8.3 file name, you must change the file name in the folders before writing to Cd. If you allow the CD CREATOR to automatically change the names, they will be very confusing. Long file names may not be readable on some computer systems.) - Choose Mode: Mode 1: CDROM is more universal - Choose OK - Click General Tab - Review info - In upper window (Explorer) of CD Creator: - Choose IRIS - Choose D: - Choose Galileo_File - Drag folders and/or files to be copied to CD to lower window (Data CD Layout) ** CD name - as you typed it in CD LAYOUT PROPERTIES- should appear in lower, left window of CD Creator)** - Choose FILE, CREATE CD - General Tab, Choose test and create CD - Summary Tab, review for correct info - Click OK, CD will automatically be created now - No need to save CD Layout - CD will eject when copy is complete - nrm 27 Sep 99
