I will review global helioseismology in the context of the upcoming SDO mission. Specifically I will review the results and future prospects of global-mode helioseismology and SDO targets (such as the solar tachocline, aspects of the solar dynamo, and zonal flows in the solar convection zone) that are of particular interest for the LWS program.
