MOONS
The big ones - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto around Jupiter, Titan at Saturn and Triton at Neptune. As discussed before, there are many more smaller satellites being discovered (101 according to latest count).
Here we will discuss the geology of the larger ones - keeping in mind the basic concepts from the geology of the terrestrial planets: CRATERING, VOLCANISM, TECTONICS, EROSION
At these low temperatures ices behave as hard as rocks - geological processes are basically the same. The only difference being that tidal heating also needs to be considered (in addition to heat of formation, differentiation and radioactivity).
