Course Description: Topics in modern solar-system astronomy are pursued.
Topics vary but often include nature and evolution of the Sun, life in
the
universe, origin and nature of the planets, and space science.
Nonmathematical. Prereq., ASTR 1110 or 1010. Approved for arts and
sciences core curriculum: natural science.
Text: The Cosmic Perspective, by Bennett, Donahue, Schneider,
and Voit, 1999, by Addison, Wesley, Longman (Pubs).
