  • Interests

Has taught astrophysical, planetary, and atmospheric sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder since 1977. Information about current classes and seminars may be found at http://lasp.colorado.edu/~espoclass. Advises graduate students. Is available to give public presentations on space research and on the Cassini mission to Saturn.

Research interests include observational and theoretical studies of planetary atmospheres and rings; the chemistry and dynamics of the Venus clouds; waves in Saturn's rings; and numerical methods for radiation transfer. Dr. Esposito has contributed numerous articles to scientific publications. In 2002 he published a paper on planetary rings in Reports on Progress in Physics, and he is currently writing a book on this subject. A comprehensive list of his publications can be found at http://lasp.colorado.edu/~esposito.
