My research is focused on magnetospheric physics, such as magnetopause reconnection on the flanks of the magnetopause away from the subsolar region and the link between substorm onsets and tail reconnection. Of particular interest is whether antiparallel merging for dominant IMF By conditions may explain the high-latitude plasma convection in the polar cap (often referred to as lobe cell convection). Whether slow-mode shocks are observed at times of near-Earth tail reconnection is also a recent focus of mine. |
