Funding the future of space science

Advancing space science across the nation, the world, and the cosmos

With your generosity, LASP can continue our journey of discovery by ensuring our student employees receive real-world, hands-on education. Your gift will help students obtain firsthand experience with hardware development, data analysis, and mission operations—real-world expertise that will advance space science across the nation, around the world, and deep into the cosmos.

Sincerely,

Dr. Bethany Ehlmann
LASP Director

LASP Student Success Fund

Support CU Boulder students working at LASP with unique, hands-on opportunities to develop and implement space science missions to better understand Earth, our solar system, and beyond.

LASP Innovation Fund

From the first solar measurements from space to leading NASA’s first astrophysics small satellite, LASP is a leader in innovation. Help propel the future of space science through this fund.

Scholarships & Fellowships

The Charles A. Barth Scholarship in Space Research contributes to tuition costs for several LASP undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder with focused studies related to space research. Awards are typically on the order of  ~$1300 per student.

The Barth Family Endowed Graduate Fellowship Fund supports graduate students participating in space science and engineering research conducted at LASP.

For the John T. Gosling Endowed Fellowship, two or more fellowships of at least $2,000 are awarded to graduate students who have demonstrated an intention to study solar-terrestrial physics and/or space-plasma physics, including the study of the Sun, the study of the solar wind, the study of the Sun-Earth connection, or the study of the solar wind’s interaction with planetary magnetospheres.
