Abstract
The discovery that bursts of radio emission detected with simple antennas in a field were correlated with Io’s position around Jupiter gave the first indication of a moon magnetosphere interaction. Since these early hints at Io, there have been flybys of several moons in different magnetospheres revealing a range of processes that vary with the properties of the moon and the surrounding magnetospheric conditions. This presentation covers the range of types of interactions, the methods used to model them as well as how in situ and remote sensing data reveal processes involved.
