CCLDAS is committed to educating and training the next generation of lunar scientists and engineers, and to enhancing the education of science and engineering graduate students at CU-Boulder.

Ongoing events

The Physics Department at the University of Colorado Boulder offers a yearly graduate course in plasma physics. The most recent installment of this course, PHYS 5150, included a detailed section on dusty plasma physics and was taught by CCLDAS director Mihály Horányi.

Past events

CCLDAS sponsored the Lunar Graduate Conference program for a third year. LunGradCon 2012 was held on July 14 and 15, 2012, at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.

The Fall 2011 Graduate Planetary Seminar on Spacecraft Instrumentation introduced students to state-of-the-art in-situ measurement techniques, flight instruments, and their current capabilities. It included presentations by key invited speakers involved in current, past, and future space missions.

CCLDAS was a proud sponsor of the 2011 Lunar Graduate Conference and looks forward to the continuation of the program in the years to come. LunGradCon 2011 was held Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.

CCLDAS was a sponsor of the first annual Lunar Graduate Conference. LunGradCon 2010 was held Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California, and was a tremendous success.

CCLDAS offered a graduate seminar class in lunar science during the Spring 2010 semester, in partnership with the Lunar University Network for Astrophysical Research (LUNAR) at the University of Colorado Boulder and the Center for Lunar Evolution and Origin (CLOE) at the Southwest Research Institute. The seminar covered all three main aspects of NASA’s Lunar Science Institute: Of the Moon, On the Moon, and From the Moon.
