Undergraduates

Inspiring the next generation of space explorers

LASP is proud to employee about 100 CU Boulder undergraduate students, each integral to the lab. With opportunities in all five of our divisions, including science, engineering, mission operations, data systems, and business facilitation, each student has the opportunity to help LASP deliver the future of space science. CU Boulder undergraduates who are in good standing and enrolled in at least six credit hours are eligible.

Our institute also offers other exciting opportunities to become involved in space exploration. These include the summer-long Research Experience for Undergraduates program on behalf of the Boulder Solar Alliance; the Barth Scholarship; and our Student Flight Controllers Program, which certifies and hires undergraduates to work as operators for NASA missions. Read more about each of these opportunities below!
