The INSPIRE spacecraft bus is an open domain hardware architecture developed jointly by the partner universities. Five INSPIRE missions are currently on orbit/in development at various partner universities.

The flight software for INSPIRE spacecrafts has heritage from the LASP missions CSSWE and MinXSS. The INSPIRE Sat Operation System (ISOS) has been developed and licensed to Hex20 Pty. Ltd.
