MinXSS first results paper submitted and NASA feature
The first paper including analysis of MinXSS science data has been submitted to The Astrophysical Journal Letters. You can check out the submitted version on arxiv. It contains a case study of one of the many observed flares, characterizing it in terms of temperature components and elemental abundance. It also makes comparisons to the GOES/XRS measurements, the standard bearer for flare classification. We find that some calibration should be applied to the GOES/XRS data when it is used for detailed study of solar physics.
Also, we worked with NASA to create this cool video highlighting what a solar flare looks like in MinXSS data. It was featured on the main page of nasa.gov. You can see the article here and the video is embedded below.
