SPOT 9: POLAR/GEOTAIL Study of Polar Cap

The following list consists of those times when the POLAR and GEOTAIL
spacecraft are expected to be on the same magnetic field line, GEOTAIL
is skimming through the magnetopause, and POLAR is in time sector 05-18
hours MLT. The magnetic conjunctions were obtained by using a B-field
trace in either direction (north or sourth) from GEOTAIL where the trace
falls within 400 km of POLAR. In addition the criterion for GEOTAIL
skimming the magnetopause is that the spacecraft be located within about
4-5 RE of the magnetopause. Up to one hour coverage on each side of the
conjunction time is requested.

================================================================================

*** Did not turn out to be a magnetic conjunction due to Polar flip maneuver and
    Geotail maneuver to lower perigee, both of which occurred just prior to this
    previously projected conjunction time.
