WAVE investigators published a paper entitled “Using vertical phase differences to better resolve 3D gravity wave structure”.  The paper develops a gravity wave analysis method that can identify and characterize high-intrinsic-frequency gravity waves in AIRS temperature retrievals. WAVE investigators published a paper entitled “Thermospheric Traveling Atmospheric Disturbances in Austral Winter From GOCE and CHAMP”.  The paper found thermospheric traveling atmospheric disturbances in austral winter to be mainly induced by orographic waves during geomagnetic quiet time.
