Today, we received word from NASA that MinXSS has been selected for funding. We are receiving $1.05M over 3 years, with most of that funding coming in the first year. This will support the remainder of flight manufacturing and assembly, integration and testing, mission operations, and science analysis.

This news allowed us to accept a launch offer from NASA’s Educational LAunch of NAnosatellites (ELaNa) program that will take us to the International Space Station in January 2015. Delivery is in November 2014.
