MinXSS was selected as the 2016 Mission of the Year at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics SmallSat conference, which had about 2200 attendees this year. MinXSS was the people’s choice and confirmed by the panel of approximately 20 satellite experts from industry, academia, and government. Eight other missions were in the running, which came primarily from other universities, companies, and NASA centers.
