Student meets photographer astronaut

This week, former MinXSS student Bena Mero got to meet the astronaut who took the 4k snapshots of MinXSS-1 as it deployed from the International Space Station. Tim Peake came to visit her new workplace — Clyde Space in Glasgow, Scotland — and saw one of the flight-spare 3D-printed stainless steel hinges that Bena herself designed. NASA administrator Charles Bolden handled this same hinge when he visited MinXSS students in 2014. MinXSS students have had the privilege of breathing some rarefied air.
