Colorado Student Space Weather Experiment

Student led mission to understand space weather

The Colorado Student Space Weather Experiment (CSSWE) was 3U CubeSat mission designed and developed by students at CU-Boulder under the direction of LASP’s faculty and staff. CSSWE housed an energetic particle telescope to address the fundamental questions pertaining to the relationship between solar flares and energetic particles. These questions include the acceleration and loss mechanisms of outer radiation belt electrons. CSSWE was LASP’s first cubesat mission receiving numerous awards and published results.
