Io Alfven wave Propagation
Combining the Juno-based JRM09 magnetic field (Connerney et al. 2018) with the updated analysis of Voyager plasma data (Bagenal et al. 2017, Dougherty et al. 2017) we calculate the Alfven travel time within the torus and predict where the Io auroral foot print should be. These predictions are compared with the Hubble Space Telescope observations of Bonfond et al. (2009, 2017).
