Conveying the excitement of discovery
LASP’s Office of Communications Management conveys the excitement of our transformational scientific discoveries, announces new programs and missions, and brings to light the stories of the remarkable people who work here.
Our office leads public outreach for NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) mission. We also coordinate outreach efforts for the Institute for Modeling Plasma, Atmospheres and Cosmic Dust (IMPACT), which is supported by the NASA Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI) and provides opportunities to further public understanding of lunar exploration.
Our communications team organizes ongoing events and activities that are designed to excite and educate non-experts about space and atmospheric science, including:
- Public lectures, which typically take place on the first Wednesday evening of each month during the academic year
- Laboratory tours for school groups and organizations are available on a rolling basis when health restrictions permit.
- LASPSpace, a regular newsletter showcasing new happenings at our institute
If you would like to receive future issues of LASPSpace, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
