Building on our success
Each mission to explore the cosmos builds on those that have come before it. With a history longer than NASA’s, LASP has an impressive track record of contributing to many successful space missions since the Mariner missions launched in the 1960s.
The scientific findings from earlier missions enable researchers to pose new and more sophisticated questions about our solar system and the origins of stars and planets. Likewise, lessons learned from previous mission and technical operations are carefully recorded and integrated into future programs and missions to ensure that we’re continually building on our success.
