Individual experiences drive discovery
At LASP, we are committed to creating an environment that is respectful and inclusive. We believe this is fundamental to enabling peak creativity, innovation, and curiosity. Our unique individual experiences and points of view drive discovery. We strive to advance DEIA—diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility—and to educate the next generation of diverse leaders in space research.
LASP affinity groups
LASP currently has four affinity groups that have formed with the intent of finding connection, inspiration, and support around a shared interest or goal. These are open to all LASPians who wish to participate.
Spectrum: An employee resource group for LGBTQ+ LASPians and allies that typically meets once a month for lunch. Please contact spectrum@lasp.colorado.edu to be added to this mailing list.
LASP Women: A group to address the interests of professional women at LASP from undergraduates to late-career employees. This new group is still determining how often it will meet. Please contact communications@lasp.colorado.edu to be added to the internal Slack channel.
LASP Neurodiversity: For LASPians to share neurodivergent experiences and information. Please contact neurodiversity@lasp.colorado.edu to be added to this mailing list.
LASP Veterans: Creating community, enhancing the personal and professional development of full-time and student veteran employees, and advocating for veterans’ issues at LASP. Please contact veterans@lasp.colorado.edu to be added to this mailing list.
