Chip Bollendonk joined LASP as a Mechanical Engineer in 2021, and is the Lead ME on the Interstellar Dust EXperiment (IDEX). Chip received his MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from CU Boulder, along with a Minor in Leadership Studies. Prior to his time at LASP, Chip has contributed towards various missions including ULA's Vulcan, Blue Origin's New Glenn, and Sierra Space's Dream Chaser. Chip's strengths include finite element analysis, engineering hand calculations, CAD design and drawings with GD&T, and team leadership.
