Biography
Leonard graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in May of 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. After a long and arduous career journey, Leonard being working at the University of Colorado as a staff member in 2014. During his tenure, he worked at Parking Services (Accounting Technician II), Leeds School of Business (Accounting Technician III) , and the Environmental Studies Department (Manager of Finance and Business Operations). Leonard also briefly served as a First-Generation Scholarship Program coordinator, advising a caseload of 374+ First-Generation Students at CU-Boulder. Leonard has vast experience in procurement, purchasing, PSC Policies and Procedures, and all things related to finance and spending at the University of Colorado Boulder.
AT LASP, Leonard handles procurement initiatives for a variety of areas, from production to assisting with flight parts purchasing, his main goal is to ensure proper and timely procurement of items required by engineers, scientists, and administrative Faculty. Leonard joined LASP in August of 2022, and is passionate about the University and envisions a lifelong career at his Alma Mater. During his near 10-year tenure at the University, Leonard has extensive experience in all realms of administration, procurement, and financial analysis utilizing University Systems and Software.
Currently, Leonard is married to his wife Maureen Elizabeth Martinez, and they share their current child (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) named Mildred Arthur.
Fun Fact: Leonard used to be a semi-professional Halo 3 player in High School
