Biography
Tyler received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of
Colorado at Boulder in Aerospace Engineering.
Tyler started as a student Command Controller at LASP. After receiving his bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, he worked professionally as a mechanical design engineer for United Launch Alliance and Sierra Nevada Corporation.
Tyler received his Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus in Mechanical and Material Systems while serving as Project Manager of Dr. Xinlin Li's CSSWE Cubesat at LASP.
After graduation, Tyler began work as an I&T Operator at LASP on the GOES-R EXIS program. Since then he has taken on the roles of I&T Lead, and Operations Lead for the EXIS program. Tyler officially transitioned to the Engineering division at LASP and continues to work various specialties including Requirements Manager, Deputy Program System Engineer, and I&T Lead for Libera as well as continuing his duties on EXIS.
Tyler is a passionate champion of process improvements at LASP and has worked to implement paperless I&T process (tablets), fully-remote I&T support process, could-based I&T data centers, and online-based I&T data management systems.
Tyler is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast.
