Next-gen technology for total solar irradiance monitoring

The Compact Total Irradiance Monitor-Flight Demonstration (CTIM-FD) is a 6U CubeSat with a compact, next-generation instrument for the measurement of Total Solar Irradiance (TSI). CTIM-FD was launched on July 1st, 2022 by Virgin Orbit into a 500 km orbit. CTIM has been making TSI measurements since August 26th, 2022.
