On April 30, 2010 (day 120) EVE began normal operations observing the sun continuously with all channels. The prime SDO mission is 5 years, but it is widely believed that a mission extension could provide an additional 5 years of science measurements. The primary focus for the EVE team is to validate the measurements over the next 3-6 months to ensure quality products are produced prior to public release of data. In the short term, the first suborbital calibration rocket flight is just days away.
