Welcome to the Middle Atmosphere Group (MAG) home page
We are a group of scientists and students affiliated with the University of Colorado Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) and the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP).
We use satellite remote sensing and global chemistry climate modeling to investigate the physics, chemistry and dynamics of the middle atmosphere. We are particularly interested in processes that couple the middle atmosphere to other regions of the atmosphere. Some of our main research topics are: atmospheric effects of energetic particle precipitation, middle atmosphere dynamics, stratosphere-troposphere coupling, stratospheric ozone, and polar mesospheric clouds.
