Susan furthers the LASP research mission by supporting laboratory scientists, researchers, engineers, and other personnel in coordination of travel, to include; working directly with LASP travelers to coordinate domestic and international travel, utilizing knowledge of CU and State fiscal rules and regulations and federal travel regulations as they pertain to research grants and contracts, maintaining the status of traveler’s documents for future bookings, implementing and maintaining LASP-wide internal travel process controls and communicating to researchers compliance requirements, and aiding in policy interpretation as necessary. She is primarily responsible for determining best practices and opportunities that align with the needs and requirements of LASP travelers.
