The Emirates Mars Ultraviolet Spectrometer (EMUS) instrument is a far ultraviolet spectrometer that is jointly developed by the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) and Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). The instrument is designed to detect ultraviolet wavelength and determine the abundance and variability of carbon monoxide and oxygen in the Martian thermosphere.
