Willow Reed stepped into her role as a Science Communications Specialist in 2021, and is the Communications Lead for the Mars Atmospheric and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) mission. With a background in solar physics and theatre, Willow has the unique ability of explaining scientific jargon in a way that is captivating to the general public. Willow is also a Coordinator for the Boulder Solar Alliance Research Experience for Undergraduates (BSA REU) program, in which LASP is the lead institute.
