MEGS-B Flare Campaign

The science and operations team has decided to perform a MEGS-B flare campaign. EVE will execute the 24-hour continuous observing sequence starting June 2 (day 184), at 16:00 UT. Normal daily calibrations will not be performed, and the MEGS-B and MEGS-P channels will be exposed continuously.

A CCD bakeout was started at 15:00 UT March 12, 2012. The CCDs will return to normal operation starting Wednesday March 14 around 15:00 UT.

MEGS-B “Flare” Campaign to support Incoherent Scatter Radar at Arecibo
