MAVEN with Atmospheric Loss

The MAVEN spacecraft will gather data on the planet’s current-day atmospheric loss. The artist’s rendition of Mars at the top of the image shows the disappearance of the planet’s magnetic field, which may have triggered the atmospheric loss. (Courtesy GSFC)

The MAVEN team strongly believes in sharing our enthusiasm and excitement about Mars, space, and science in general.

We do this through programs that meet the needs of specific audiences—formal K-12 teachers; informal educators; and members of the general public.

From teacher professional development programs to social media connections, we want to get you involved in the MAVEN mission!

We’re offering a few ways for the public to take an active role in the mission and “Go to Mars” along with the MAVEN spacecraft. Click the image below to learn more about the ways you can send your own creations to the Red Planet along with MAVEN.
