The Marriott University Park is in a thriving area of Tucson, just steps from the University of Arizona campus. The hotel was opened in 1996 in a 9-story historic building and renovated in 2008. They are undergoing another full renovation (just for us!), which will be completed in Nov. 2019. The hotel has state-of-the-art full service conference facilities, including a Business Center, full-service health club.
We have negotiated a special conference rate (govt. per diem) for all meeting attendees. The current government rate is $125/night for January 2020. Additional fees include state and local taxes (12.05%) and a city hotel surcharge ($4/night). Rates include complimentary “basic” internet (normally $9.95/day) and discounted parking at $9/day. Please register early so we can increase the block if necessary to accommodate everyone.
To reserve a room: Either call 1-888-236-2427 and mention the block code “SCS” or “Sun Climate Symposium”, or click-in to reserve online: 2020 Sun Climate Symposium .

A Marriott Bonvoy affiliate, this sweet property has plenty of rooms for us on the fringe nights — starting Friday, Jan. 24 through Monday, Feb. 3. Aloft is a beautiful 20-minute walk to the Marriott via the University of Arizona campus. You can also catch the local SunLink streetcar (stop is across the street) to the Marriott. In everyone’s registration packet is complimentary 3-day SunLink pass. This will get you to the Marriott each day for the symposium, as well as out and about town for dinners/lunch. I encourage everyone wanting to stay Friday night, to go for this great option and price ($149/night).
