LASP Public Lectures

The LASP Public Lecture series coincides with the University of Colorado Boulder’s academic calendar. The first public lecture of the 2022-2023 season will take place in early October. If you’d like to be notified when the next seminar will take place, please email epomail@lasp.colorado.edu or keep an eye on this page.

You can also view previous public lectures on LASP’s YouTube channel.

The Dispersal of Gas in Circumstellar Disks Based on Observations of H_2 in the FUV
Laura Flagg (Cornell University)
Planets form in circumstellar disks. However, the main component of these disks, H_2, is extremely hard to detect. We have developed a new technique that increases our sensitivity to warm H_2 emission in medium resolution FUV...

Upcoming Launches

*All launch dates should be considered “no earlier than” dates, as launches can be delayed from their planned times for many reasons.

Outreach

Space science research is exciting! LASP’s Office of Communication Management conveys what’s happening in our lab and across the universe through a regular newsletter, tours, and special events. We also partner with many groups on the CU Boulder campus who organize a wide variety of outreach programs.
